Hello!

I wanted to talk about my love for photos! It is so easy to forget things, and I think photos are the best way to remember things. I didn’t take tons of photos before my daughter was born, but I would take them of special occasions and things to remember. Well since my daughter has been born (she is 7 months now) I have taken about 3,000 photos! I can’t help it, I just think everything she does is just so cute! I feel like we are blessed now with our phones, because we can take sooo many more pictures than people were able to before.

I also love to set up photo shoots for her! If you’re like me, you don’t want to spend a bunch of money for just a couple of photos. My husband and I got ours done a few years ago, and it was $300! I would prefer to just do them myself especially when I can keep as many as I want. I don’t do a ton for her, but I try setting something up once a month for her monthly photos. I have seen people do it more simple and just have a certain chair or stuffed animal that they take a picture with once a month. I wanted to do that for her before she was born, because I think with a little animal or something to compare them to you can really see how much they grow in just a month!! It just didn’t happen that way so I have fun coming up with a fun idea each month. Sometimes it’s easy and the idea just flows easy, but sometimes I really struggle coming up with a cute idea. I have a friend who does adorable photos with girl so she helps me when I’m struggling with what to do or if there is something I could change. It’s always nice to have a second opinion! My favorite place to go is Pinterest when I’m having a hard time coming up with a cute idea. I have a board with just baby photography you can look at. Also, you don’t need a big fancy camera to take cute photos! Our phones do so good anymore. All the pictures I have with Brooklynn have just been taken with my phone! I do use an editing app called Photo Editor that I like. It’s just a free one from the App Store. It does what I need so I’ve never felt like I’ve needed to spend money for more. Soon I want to get a better iPhone that has the portrait mode. I think those look so professional and nice! I think eventually I would like to invest in a nice camera, because I really enjoy taking pictures but it isn’t a necessit

Anyways, if you feel like you can’t afford or don’t want to spend the money for professional photos, but would like to have some cute photos of your little one you can do them yourself! My best inspiration is Pinterest, and there are thousands of ideas. I will go in depth later about how I usually go about editing my photos on my app.
